With the rapid development of the network technology, automation control technology andcommunication technology, Internet technology has penetrated into every field of daily life andindustrial production, which makes the remote monitoring of industrial production possible. Withthe remote real-time monitoring technology, technician can monitor remotely without visitingindustrial production scene.Regarding the super large reverse osmosis project with daily production of100,000ton inZhoushan Liuheng Island as the research background, this subject aims to solve the problems indesalination unit such as remote monitoring deficiency, weak instantaneity, week reliability andinability of resource sharing. So a set of B/S mode RO remote monitoring system is developed hereto realize the goal of monitoring the operation condition of the desalination unit remotely via Webexplore.In accordance with the general process of software development, this paper elaborates thelayout of the system from the requirement analysis, architecture design and detailed functionmodule design. First of all, this topic discusses background and significance of the research, andlists working principle of reverse osmosis desalination technology and technological processes.Secondly, based on the analysis of C/S and B/S network architecture, user requirement and systemcharacteristics, a B/S mode based RO remote monitoring system is proposed, which reads data onlocal PLC controller with OPC communication, sending clients the collected real-time monitoringdata from the scene with WCF distributed communication, and finally realizing the remotemonitoring of the desalination units. Meanwhile, with the new front technology like Ajax andjQuery, the system has an improvement in its performance and provides the user with better Webexperience. Finally, execute monitoring data transmission security research, discuss the problemsencountered in the installation testing, analyze reasons, and propose the corresponding solutions.Practical application shows that the system runs stably, and can effectively strengthen theremote real-time monitoring of desalination process. This system has an excellent portability andcan be widely applicated to the industrial automation, transportation industry and so on, which is ofhigh practical value.
