The primary purpose of application verification is to guide IC Components to be used reliably in system, so the most important thing is to focus on the interface signal quality between the devices and the application system, therefore, no matter using software simulation or using hardware co-simulation to make application verification, both need to complete the PCB simulation for the application system. The application verification technical solution proposed in this dissertation completes the simulation of the application system’s environment and extracts the required data by carrying out PCB SI simulation in multiple simulation platforms based on the IBIS model, and then use software simulation and hardware co-simulation to achieve the application verification of the digital IC devices. In order to ensure the smooth progress of application verification, technologies involving in the technical solution such as IBIS modeling, PCB SI simulation and S-parameters extraction simulation have been conducted extensive studies.Under the guidance of the application verification technology, this dissertation takes the application verification of SRAM as an example to discuss related technologies. Firstly, this dissertation conducts further studies on IBIS modeling techniques and completes the IBIS modeling work for SRAM and 80C32 and other related IC devices. Secondly PCB SI simulation based on IBIS models is carried out to simulate SRAM’s board-level environments and data for the subsequent simulation is extracted. Finally, a software simulation platform and a hardware co-simulation platform are designed for the SRAM, and the application verification for SRAM is completed.The application verification of SRAM demonstrated the feasibility of the application verification simulation technical solution proposed in this dissertation.
