Research Of Verification Validation And Accreditation Technology In Modeling And Simulation

M&S is an effective method to understand and reconstruct the objective world. Successful applications of M&S approach can bring prominent economic benefits. Uncreditable simulation is meaningless and uncreditable simulation system has no vitality. The technology of VV&A is just the valid method that promotes and guarantees the creditability of M&S. In this dissertation, basic VV&A theory, VV&A technology related with simulation model and simulation system are investigated. The main contributions are summarized as follows:1. The study on basic VV&A theory. Firstly, the primary concepts of VV&A, the relation between M&S and VV&A is anatomized; and then the element principles of VV&A and the duties of corresponding personnel are summarized; finally, these common VV&A techniques and their applications in the whole life period of M&S are analyzed.2. The research on approaches to validate simulation model. Based on the analysis and compare of these existing validation approaches of simulation model, the grey relational analysis method is applied to validate the credibility of simulation model and the operational steps are listed in detail. And then the risk contained in this method is analyzed. Finally the grey relational model is improved according to the need of simulation model validation, and the improved grey relational model is proved to satisfy the four axioms of grey relation.3. The investigation of creditability evaluation methods of simulation systems. The grey clustering methods and matter element analysis method are introduced into the creditability analysis of simulation systems. Then the relative degree model of matter element analysis method is improved to meet the magnitude difference of relative degree among indexes at different assessment levels; most importantly a relative degree model with some sutra field comprising several individual fields is given; lastly several evaluation methods on the creditability of simulation systems are analyzed and compared.4.
