The industry of integrated circuit, photovoltaic and semiconductor lighting is one of the strategic industries in China. Nowadays the multi-wire sawing technique which is becoming a innovative core machining technique, is mostly used in the electronics industry, such as the solar photovoltaic power generation, large-scale integrated circuit etc. It can improve the strips yield, quality and production efficiency greatly. The control system of multi-wire saw is very complex, whose control precision is required highly. At present, multi-wire saws are mostly imported from abroad, the core control technique has restricted the self-development of multi-wire saw technique in China.This article analyzes the several motor synchronous system and tension system, which are important and difficult in the research of control system in multi-wire saw. Meanwhile, it develops the corresponding control system. It can provide some reference to the development of the control system in domestic.This article develops a new control system of multi-wire saw, which is high-speed and precise. The contents and results of the research can be briefly summarized as follows:(1) It analyzes the working principle of multi-wire saw and its structure of Linear system. Meanwhile, it puts forward the design scheme of control system and establishes the models of several motor synchronous system, tension system and the radius of take-up and pay-off rollers, which provide theoretical basis for the design of the control scheme.(2) For the synchronous system, it establishes a reasonable and accurate servo motor model and designs control schemes which are based on PID and fuzzy adaptive PID. The simulation results show that the control scheme based on fuzzy adaptive PID is better and more precise.(3) For the tension system, in order to reduce the tension fluctuation, it designs the tension control scheme which is based on tension sensor, and optimizes the control strategy of changing velocity. It also designs the wiring scheme based on limit switch. The wiring experiment shows that it works well.(4) On the basis of theoretical analysis, it designs the hardware and software of control system and introduces how to design the programs of part functions. At last, based on the examination, the results show that, every indicator meets the requirement: the linear velocity error is within 0.8m/min, the swing angle of tension rocker is within 5o, and the tension fluctuation is less than 2.5N.
