FCC makes the 3.1-10.6 GHz frequency range as the working frequency of UWB technology, and approved for the civilian areas, and makes the ultra wideband (UWB: ultra-wideband) more and more important in the academic and industrial fields. Micro-strip antenna is easily integrated with other microwave circuits, easy to realize miniaturization planar, and have the advantages of miniaturization, light weight and so on, are widely used in commercial communication systems. The UWB antenna has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, wide bandwidth, high speed of data communication, low energy consumption characteristics, is a basic component of an UWB wireless communication system. However, there maybe exists the mutual interference between the Ultra-wideband and other narrowband system existed in its frequency range. Therefore, designing the Ultra-wideband antennas with notched characteristics has become a hot research topic in modern wireless communication field.In this paper, the micro-strip antenna is the basis of the research, the main contents:At first, briefly the basic theory of micro-strip antennas, the ultra wideband antenna design and analysis methods. Then, select the polygonal UWB micro-strip antenna as the reference antenna, using the simulation analysis and optimization design, optimizing the main structural parameter.And carved the rectangular structure in the metal radiation patch of the antenna, make two small rectangular structure in the ground unit designed to broaden the bandwidth of the antenna reference. Finally, according to the notch technology of ultra wideband antenna, the antenna performance optimized notch, to suppress the interference between UWB communication system and other narrowband communication system. In the realization of the antenna feeder notch on the carved out a rectangular structure, to broaden the antenna impedance bandwidth, optimize the impedance bandwidth performance. Two small rectangular structure are carved on the feeder line, to improve the low frequency performance of the antenna.In conclusion, this thesis has selected the model of UWB antenna polygon as the research object, focused on the simulation analysis and optimization design of the bandwidth characteristics, broadened the antenna impedance bandwidth, achieved the double-notched characteristics of the antenna, so the paper has a certain practical applications.
