Design And Implementation Of IPTV Information Application Platform

After several years of operation, the users of IPTV business of ZheJiang province will go over2.5million at the end of this year,10percent of which are industrial users, and the revenue of industrial applications is expected to exceed10million. With the increase of industrial users, the demand of personalized customization is growing substantially. But the current customized support of IPTV industry in our province are basically implemented manually, whose inefficiency leads to untimely response to the demand of many industrial needs of users, resulting in the loss of many industrial users. Thus how to respond quickly to the needs of industrial users has become the most urgent problem needed to be resolved by IPTV operators.Based on C1and C2interface of IPTV public platform, our project designed the information application platform of IPTV and implemented the principle functional modules which solved the personalized customization problem of industrial users, by adopting Microsoft.Net Framework, C#language and Web Service technologies. The C1interface was used to accomplish issuing of user demand generated template. The regional administrators initiate electronic work order by industrial users’ online requirement, then input the user’s personalized information and generate the customer’s personalize application quickly according to the existing template in the system. The C2interface was used to accomplish the delivery and publishing of live or on-demand contents needed by users. The system management module tracked and managed the entire process described above.Trial of the information application platform of IPTV showed that, the platform can effectively shorten the response speed of the industrial customization of IPTV. The application of the platform will directly appeal a number of potential industrial users and speed up the development of IPTV users. In addition, through the application system, the administrator can be kept informed of the need for the industrial custom, while the regional administrator being kept informed of the process status of any industrial needs. This enables the whole industrial process to be manageable, controllable and supervised.
