Research On The Construction Of Harmonious University Library Culture

University libraries are important places for spreading science and culture and cultivating talents through culture and they shoulder the important mission of improving the scientific and cultural competence of the entire nation. Characterized by their various types of services and abundant information resources, the functions of university libraries have been improved and their influence have been broadened so that these libraries have greatly promoted the construction of harmonious university campus culture and harmonious social culture. Therefore, constructing harmonious university library culture has an important strategic significance for improving people’s cultural competence, constructing a nation-wide public cultural service system and a powerful cultural country and realizing the Chinese dream of the great revival of the Chinese nation.This paper is based on the thought of Marxist harmony and that of Chinese traditional harmony and guided by the decision of Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on building harmonious socialist society adopted by the sixth plenum of the 16 th CPC central committee. In addition, taking modern culture and philosophy as its theoretical foundation and on the basis of the achievements of research on the construction of traditional culture, this paper proposes the topic of constructing harmonious university library culture. Apart from an introduction and a conclusion, this paper consists of four chapters.Chapter one is about a brief introduction of harmonious university library culture. This chapter focuses on the analysis of the connotation and characteristics of harmonious university library culture. The concept of “culture”, “harmonious culture” and “harmonious university library culture” are progressively defined. In addition, the characteristics of harmonious university library culture and the significance of constructing such culture are also clarified.Chapter Two is about the content and function of harmonious university library culture. This chapter describes the content of harmonious university library culture from four aspects, namely, material culture, spiritual culture, system culture and behavior culture, and also analyses the functions of such culture. This chapter is the theoretical foundation of the paper.Chapter Three is about an investigation and analysis of the current situation of harmonious university library culture. Combing with network investigation, questionnaire, and statistical analysis and through empirical analysis, this chapter analyzes the current situation of the construction of harmonious university library culture with emphasis on the major problem of its construction as well as their causes. This chapter is the practical foundation of the paper.Chapter Four is the strategies for shaping the new normal for harmonious university library culture. Guided by the socialist core value system. This chapter proposes the strategies for enhancing the construction of harmonious university library culture. These strategies include cultivating the library spirit guided by the socialist core value system, improve librarian’s cultural accomplishment, coordinating interpersonal relationship among librarians, perfecting the system and mechanisms for libraries and optimizing the allocation of their resources.The innovation of this paper mainly includes two aspects: Firstly, it provides a new perspective. And secondly, it proposes a new countermeasure.
