The Chinese Ancient literatures of traditional medicine have a long his tory, which accumulated rich theoretical knowledge and clinical experience , carried the traditional Chinese Medicine achievements of the period of S pring and Autumn to the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and it has an important po sition in the history of the development of traditional Chinese medicine. But there is a lot of inconvenience in the use of the ancient literature s of the traditional Chinese medicine, such as:title can not reflect the contents of the book, the errors in the process of transmission,the difference of the ancient and modern word-me anings, the conflicts between the collection and the use of the ancient li teratures. As the quick development of modern information technology, sue h as computer and network technology, digitalization becomes an effective way to use the Chinese ancient literatures.This paper based on digitalization construction of Chinese Traditional medical formulary. First of all, discussed the research status of digitization of Chinese ancient literatures and Chinese medical literatures, and on this basis, proposed the principles, framework and implementation steps of digitalization construction of Chinese Traditional medical formulary.’Secondly, combining with the current information technology, brought forward the related technical environment and introduced the technical content of Chinese traditional medical formulary digitization.At last, this paper supposed the Chinese Traditional medical formulary digitalization construction from the aspect of basic function, the system module design, database design, and introduced particularly the digitizing process of "Pu Jifang" for example.In this research, the digitizing platform of Chinese Traditional medical formulary, provided the function of and some other functions such as online dictionaries, online communication. Therefore, this platform is not only useful for people to find information, but also valuable for the research of medical formulary systemization and for academic communication.
