| The concept "internet of things" becomes more and more popular in the worldwide and has been widely implemented in the daily production and logistics activities in many companies. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is one of the sensor technologies which can realize "internet of things" and RFID has been also implemented more in the logistics tracking projects in many companies.This thesis is the research on project risk management in logistics tracking projects by using RFID. With the discussion of the application of RFID in logistics tracking projects and summarizing of project risk management, the risks which could happen in logistics tracking projects will be analyzed and the corresponding report and counter measurement will be listed in order to avoid risks in similar logistics tracking projects.Firstly the thesis introduces the background, content, purpose and methods of the research. In this thesis a logistics tracking project by using RFID in author’s company was implemented. The background, layout, form and work-flow model and RFID technology were introduced later.With the help of general project gateways in IT project and risk management tools, the risks in different gateways, e.g. in project selecting, proposal evaluation, function design, project development, installation and testing and implementation phase, can be analyzed and the corresponding report and counter measurements were summarized.Finally, the thesis will summarize the risks and counter measurements applied in the project to avoid risks in similar logistics tracking projects. |
