Facing the challenge from new media and the marketization of the all media forms, has trapped in a management dilemma which featured with meager profits. However, local print newspapers, as the most traditional form of local media, ought to be the first to see the new forms of media replacing the old ones. Nowadays, new media develops as mushrooms after the rain, gorging the market share from local print news media. For the latter, pressure comes from not sufficient preparation for the challenges posed from new media and the yet-to-form new style of management, and it thus faces a decreasing turnover and harder and harder living environment. What’s more, from the two previously mentioned issues comes out the prophesy that print media is like a sinking ship and will end in the future.What caused the 10 years and even lasting of fading destiny of print news media? How should the print news media to transform and upgrade under such circumstance? How should the print news media to readjust its structure and management? These are the questions the leaders of local print news media are thinking. On the one hand, the living environment for print news media now is rigid and the difficulties in operation lie in many areas. On the other hand, the operation philosophy is still half-way on the transforming to a market-oriented philosophy, and the overall level of trans-boundary services industry still waiting for an improvement. All these obstructions require “Suzhou Daily Custom Made” to be more prospective and more market-oriented, if Suzhou Daily Group wanted to stay on an advantageous position and maintain its successful model position in the transformation tide of local print news media.
