| Background:The treatment of cancer is combined with multiple disciplines, which including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immune therapy, Chinese medical therapy, psychotherapy and nutritional balance therapy. Meanwhile, the treatment of cancer also have a high degree of "individual" characteristics. Currently identified cancer treatment program has been jointly multidisciplinary consultation (MDT), but to discuss the current main treatments, which has not been able to cover all aspects of the above treatments.When evaluating the efficacy of the evidence-based medicine, most were evaluations of single treatment or simple comparative programs, which rarely evaluate comprehensive treatment fully.With the progress of immune therapy of cancer, evaluations of the efficacy of cancer treatment will not only focus on the size of tumor or the change of the short, but also on the body’s own resistance to tumor growth and its relationship with prognosis.Although now there are many domestic and international cancer database, such as online database of lung cancer cases, cancer of the digestive system database, colorectal cancer database and other specialized databases, these can offer the reasonable evaluation of treatment of cancer.These databases can not cover all aspects of the above treatments,can not collect the comprehensive information of cancer.While the follow-up system of the existing databases can not abapt to the complexity of cancer treatment, the region of origin and the compliance differences of patients.Today, the Internet, mobile communications and mobile client are widely used, the database should take advantage of this trend to establish the follow-up information system of database connected with mobile client, to achieve self-upload and updated medical information. In addition, the collection and storage of tumor specimen for clinical research and the development of new technology and drug are also of great significance. The tumor specimens library can achieve precise positioning of samples and detailed operating record. It can lay the foundation for cancer research and provide specific for immune therapy of cancer patients, so that patients and researchers can get common benefits.Objective:This project aims to build a database of comprehensive treatment of cancer, which including traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine, namely surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immune therapy, medical treatment, psychotherapy, nutritional therapy and other treatments, so that all information of caner patients can be recorded in the database.At the same time, the database developes the powerful query capabilities to mining and analysis data. Also the database takes advantage of the Internet to build a follow-up system to connected with mobile clients.It can remind patients to check and review information, and patients can use the mobile client to update the follow-up information.Methods:1. To design the database with the software engineers.2. According to the needs of physicians and patients, we designed the modules of the anti-cancer database and standarded the language of the modules.3. Software engineer develop the database platform to connect to the His system and the tumor specimens library.4. To collect the medical information, and to design the follow-up system of the database.5. The demand query and export data to make analysis of clinical researches.The results:1. The database has finished the functions of the import entry of data,the basic query and the export of data.2. The database can connection with the hospital system of His.3. The functions of the special query,the follow-up system and mobile client are developing.4. To use the initial function of database for a small clinical observation and analysis of the project.Conclusions:In this study, the use of database can meet all cancer patients in clinical medical records and summary statistics.It can malignant a new method to lay the foundation for cancer treatment. |
