Data Warehousing And Data Mining On The Clinical Database Of Coronary Treatment With Chinese Traditional Medicine

The coronary disease is one of serious common and frequently-occurring disease, one of the top three diseases which cause humanity death. It has been discovered that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a unique effect on the treatment of coronary disease. At present, the TCM coronary treatment mainly depends on doctor's experience and personal level, while Chinese medicine experts have accumulated a great deal of clinical data in the diagnosis.Therefore, intelligent information technology can be used to extract the latent information from the clinical data, which will contribute to the diagnosis coronary heart disease, so as to achieve the objective of dialectical therapy.In this situation, based on the database of the Chinese traditional medical diagnosis for coronary heart disease, we mainly do the following work:(1) According to the characteristics and the demand analysis of TCM research, a Data Warehouse (HISDW) on the TCM coronary treatment has been established. Then the data preprocessing and OLAP analyzing are carried out. This paper mainly introduces the establishment of HISDW, the selection of data models, the design of data mining architecture, the methods of data preprocessing and the multi-factor combination method of TCM clinical information for coronary disease.(2)Aiming at the characteristics of TCM treatment, the association rules algorithm has been improved which uses the smallest upgrade rate instead of smallest support rate. The experimental results show that the improved association rules based on the smallest upgrade rate has achieved better performance in mining the data of coronary treatment.The above work has a promotion for data warehousing and data mining in the clinical data of TCM coronary treatment, and lays a foundation for further exploring on the clinical rules for TCM coronary treatment.
