With the rapid development of internet, internet technology and robotic technology combined has become a hot research direction. Robot-based remote monitoring technology is widely used in modern automation industry, not only make space capability of human has been further extended, but also let human beings stay away from the danger complex working conditions. Therefore, the remote monitoring technology has wide application prospect.This paper studies the realization of the four degrees of manipulator arm based on remote video surveillance system networks. In the Visual C++ environment,through the research and analysis of system’s hardware architecture and key technology, we has built the mechanical arm long-distance supervisory system, and has mainly realized the mechanical arm in the long-distance mouse according to the path movement function. The key to the successful implementation of the system involves techniques such as Win Sock, network communications, multithreading, IP multicast technology, ideo compression technology and so on.Articles are divided into 4 parts. First of all, we introduce the three big systems of mechanical arm’s the hardware system, analysis of the control process of the mechanical arm, to achieve local control function of the mechanical arm, especially the function of trajectory planning and mouse tracking track process; Next, we design and realize a C/S pattern mechanical arm long-distance control system, use the TCP/IP agreement to realize the server end and the client side course of communications. and make the mechanical arm accurately perform the instructions sent from the network Once more, we join the video frequency monitoring into the long-distance control foundation, use MPEG-4 video frequency compression algorithm which is mature and easy to realize, combining with RTP/RTCP protocol realize the video data transmission and broadcast in the network. and analysis the key technologies which has involved; Finally, based on the completion of the remote video monitoring system, we put forward some improving measuresto improve the real-time performance and the safety of the system.
