The MPEG-4 Video Coding And Storage System Based On Linux OS

Using a key project XX integrated TV monitoring system for the XXXX of the XXXX XXXX taken on by the CECT XX as the background, the paper proposes a design of the digitalized and cyberized MPEG-4 video coding and storage system in the arming of the national XXXX.The paper first presents a design scheme for the MPEG-4 video coding and storage system based on Linux OS, and then explains in detail the makeup of the hardware and software of the system. In the design of the hardware, network video service at the terminal with the functions of the collection and compression of analog video image at the front-end of the system and network transmission has been accomplished; the computer which collocates and manages the whole system and network storage array for storing compressed video data have been realized. The software design involves the management of related software of the computer through Linux operating system, the design for the DSP chip embedded Linux, the dual-core scheduling of the BF561 processor, the optimization of MPEG-4 compression coding, and the realization of the Flash file allocation table. The paper finally validates the preciseness and reliability of the system design by testing the technical indexes of the system.The innovation of the paper is the design of the network storage array.
