With the rapid development of wireless network technology, following bluetooth, Wi-Fi and as a new short-range, low-data-rate wireless network technology, Zig Bee technology is widely used in industry, medical, environment monitoring, intelligent building, digital home,etc. Most of these areas need a lot of nodes for data collection and monitoring and the transferring of date is not big in quantity but low cost in devices, or the complex terrain with many nodes need large network coverage and very difficult in wire-connection. This paper designs a wireless window system based on Zig Bee technology and realizes wireless control and monitoring on the state of window. The main content of this paper is as follows:1. Zig Bee technology and the IEEE 802.15.4 standard are analyzed; three kinds of wireless network technology including bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Zig Bee are compared. The three types of Zig Bee network topology( star, mesh, tree) and Zig Bee protocol architecture, network technology and network address assignment algorithm are studied.2. The hardware circuit of terminal node in wireless window system is designed and produced. In view of the function of the system, hardware circuit of terminal node based on CC2530 is designed and produced. The terminal node is divided into two modules, one of which is power supply module and the other is driving circuit. Power supply module includes the switch power supply circuit and step-down circuit. The switch power supply with flyback is used to supply power to the motor; step-down circuit changes 24 V input power to 5V and 5V input power to 3.3V. Driver module is used to change the operation mode of the motor(forward or inversion)by controlling the motor, in which way the window is open or closed. In this paper the circuit parameters related to the driving module and power module are calculated and PCB circuit boards are completed.3. Software design of wireless window system based on Zig Bee is completed. The program flow chart for wireless data transmission and network are designed according to functional requirement of the system and Z-Stack. On this basis, the program can realize wireless data transmission between PC, coordinator and end device with IAR software environment. Window node as end device is responsible for status collection ofapproach switch and sends them to coordinator; the coordinator receives the status and sends to PC;PC sends orders through coordinator to end device, changing the operation mode of motor.4. Based on Zig Bee technology, a wireless window system is constructed and tested. Regarding many Window nodes as end devices, LCD development board as a coordinator or a router, star or tree network topology structure is established. Based on serial assistants and wireless control system software, the function of the star or tree network topology of the system is tested. The wireless control system software can monitor the state of the approach switch to judge the Windows open or closed; it can also change the operation mode of motor(forward or inversion) to open or close the window by sending commands to the window node.
