Nowadays, with the progress of HF communication technology, it plays a increasingly important role in the field of both military communication and civil communication. This paper is derived from the research topic of short-wave frequency selection and link establishment system, which mainly designs and develops a new HF communication system with stable and quick selection frequency and link establishment. This paper, based mainly on the system goal and security requirements of short-wave frequency selection and link establishment system, emphasizes on studying the design and implementation of communication controlling hardware platform and system security encryption scheme:1. Short-wave frequency selection and link establishment system is studied in the paper. Aiming at the designing requirements and targets of the system, the general scheme of the system is studied. Based on the designing goals and functional requirements of the system, the overall hardware architecture, hardware structure communication controlling plate and security encryption scheme of the system are designed.2. HF communication controlling hardware platform is studied in the paper. It analyzes the characteristics and usage range of the Cortex-M4 embedded systems and the TM4C129 X microprocessor, designs the communication controlling board based on the TM4C129 X microprocessor and elaborates the design and implementation of the main functional modules of communication controlling panel, including the selecting principles of key components of the controlling panel and designing process of the peripheral module. After illustrating the hardware PCB design, debugging and implementation of the communication control board, the actual test verifies that the HF communication controlling hardware platform can satisfy the expected target and demand of the system.3. Encryption scheme of the embedded system is studied in the paper. Aiming at the security requirements of the project. It begins with analyzing the variously possible safety hazards of the embedded system and defending method against diverse attacks, followed by studying the traditional security authentication mechanism of system, and concludes with designing the security encryption scheme with two-way securityauthentication between ARM and FPGA, including the design of communicating interface circuit and the choice of key algorithms in the scheme. Eventually the features of the chip FPGA- A3P060 and development process of FPGA are introduced, and the implementation of key algorithms used in security encryption scheme is given.
