Nowadays, along with the rapid development of integrated circuit technology,there are new challenges to the microprocessor’s design methord. As more diverseand complex as the embedded system’s applications become, embedded processor’sperformance, cost, power consumption and other indicators are also facing morerequirements. ARM Cortex-M3processor with a variety of technology, reduce theuse of memory, and provides the power and industry leading performance in theminima of the RISC kernel, the current8bit single chip cost and mainstreamlow-end32bit Cortex-M3’s not much difference between, but the performance ismuch higher, provides an ideal platform to quickly transplant32bit microcontrolleras the application of global the use of tens of thousands of the previous code.This study on the general embedded development board based on Cortex-M3isbased on Cortex-M3control chip as the core, the working principle of Cortex-M3processor memory structure, system architecture and its components, on the basis ofthis, the embedded technology, digital communication technology and intelligentcontrol technology with the general design of hardware system design and softwaresystem, with LCD touch screen, Ethernet, wireless data transmission, USB, RS-232interface, SD card module.The development board can be used in industrial control, communication,monitoring, measurement, automotive electronics and other fields, can provide aplatform for the development of embedded system design, by clipping and thedesign of the embedded system, the embedded system to realize the requiredfunction, shorten the development cycle. It was implemented for the design ofautomatic control system, motor control system and the wireless network to thepower and cost sensitive embedded field provides a convenient, and greatlyimproved the programming operation, low cost, low power consumption, highperformance in one.
