The electronic device tends to be more integrated and smarter with the acceleration of informatization, meanwhile the electromagnetic environment is becoming more and more complicated. As the phased array radar(PAR)receiver is one of the most important parts of the PAR, solving its electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)problem is very essential.The main work of this paper is setting up the model of the phased array radar receiver which plays the role as the sensitive device. Then the EMC of the model is analyzed and some rectifying measurements are taken. Last but not the least, the model of the interference source, the transmitter, is set up. The main work of this paper can be summarized as follows.1. The image rejection mixer is designed after the EMC characteristics of the PAR receiver are analyzed. Its components,including the Gilbert mixer coupler and the power divider,are designed respectively. The simulation results show that its characteristics accord with the performance index.2. The model of the transmitter which plays the role as the electromagnetic interference source is set up with the pseudo-random code as the signals.Its performance is also analyzed.3. The PAR receiver based on the double conversion is simulated, with the image rejection mixer in it. And its EMC has been analyzed again.The performance of the receiver has been significantly promoted by using proper EMC means such as filtering and grounding. The last simulation result of the PAR receiver shows that the IRR is more than 100 d B,which means its EMC accords with the GJB151A-97, and this paper has a theoretical significance for the EMC studying of the PAR receiver in engineering.
