Active phased array radar combines a variety of high-tech, it is a new radar which is versatile and high performance, and it plays a huge role in modern high-tech war. With the development of science and technology, the electromagnetic environment of the modern battlefield has become increasingly complex, the Low Probability of Intercept of the radar is to avoid the subject an effective means of electronic jamming and anti-radiation missile(ARM) attack. Improve the LPI capability of active phased array radar will make it have a greater potential for development.This article is modeling to verify the LPI performance of active phased array radar by computer simulation. And the main work is as follows:1. Combined with computer simulation based on the study of the composition of the phased array radar system characteristics, abstract and integrate the function of the various components of the system module and thus get the system simulation model. Make an overview of the basic principles of radar LPI, then briefly analysis the intercepted factor.2. Modeling and analysis of radar transmit signal. Concluded that the transmitted signal has good LPI performance of the radar is very important to LPI. This article modeling three typical LPI signals, such as the linear FM, two-phase encoding, frequency encoding. And analysis of the Low Probability of Intercept performance of the signals.3. Establish the simulation model of the phased array antenna. Analysis the theoretical of the general array antenna, focused on the array factor. Come to the total electric field of the general array antenna formed in the far-field region, thus different point of the antenna beam in space can be realized by the phase compensation of phase shifter for each antenna element. Accordingly, the linear array and phased array antenna diagram modeling have been realized, and then conduct the related simulations.4. Modeling and simulation of the clutter. Focus on amplitude characteristics and associated features two aspects when simulation clutter. In this paper, with a Gaussian power spectrum to describe the correlation properties of clutter, we have established several commonly used radar clutter model. For example, Rayleigh distribution, lognormal distribution, weibull distribution and K distribution. And gives the corresponding simulation.5. Research of a signal recognition method based on phase unwrapping. Analysis of the impact of noise on phase unwrapped, and then given a noise in the signal phase unwrapping approach. On this basis, expand the phase of higher order differential, the signal’s time-frequency curve can be draw. Through the analysis of different signal characteristics of the frequency curve to completed the signal recognition.
