With the development of optical motor technology, machine vision systems has been rapidly used in industrial production.Machine vision system has the advantage of increasing production flexibility and degree of automation, in large quantities of industrial production, machine vision inspection system can replace the eye detection and also can improve the production efficiency greatly. The design of the machine vision detection platform is used to detect the hard drive connector flatness, true position and the height of the metal edge. The original machine vision detection system with special CPU or high-speed chip as the core, the underlying use assembler or C language programming, you need to write a lot of logic algorithm and data processing algorithm, and the detection speed and precision can’t keep up with demand growing industrial production.For this reason, the study design a new set of machine vision detection system more effective.The following contents have been made:1. This article introduced the principle and the present situation of testing system and machine vision.the shortage of the original system are analyzed, and puts forward the performance requirements of the new system, summarizes the characteristics of the Lab VIEW and virtual instrument and its basic components.2. Through the analysis of the appearance of the product and the characteristic points, formulate specific detection scheme, to determine the hardware devices which will be used in the detection system, such as camera, lens, light, Image acquisition card, etc, and through constructing specific experimental platform to verify the feasibility of the detection scheme.3. The design of test platform software. Through comparison and analysis with other software development, choose Lab VIEW as the software development with visual development module IMAQ Vision set up test system software platform, the research and development of main modules according to the system requirement: image acquisition module, image processing module, the operation and display module, serial communication module.4. Machine vision detection system debugging and industrial application. Through the system verify the reliability of the whole system. Main performance indicators are: repeatability, accuracy, reproducibility, only through the three aspects of validation testing platform can normally used in industrial production.The production efficiency of production equipment is the key to industrial production, the production efficiency also has relationship with production speed, detection accuracy and system stability, etc. Through review and verification for the whole machine vision detection platform, System running time of 1.17 seconds, detection accuracy can reach above 98%, the results show that the design of the detection system in accordance with production requirements to achieve the desired purpose.
