Study On The Change Of Cataloging Work Influenced By RDA

RDA is the latest cataloging standard in the digital age.Libraries from all over the world paied more attention to it.The main idea of this paper is to widen the vision of international cataloging, and reflect the principle of "user as the center" in library.By learning and assimilating relevant cataloging theory results, this paper discusses the RDA changing strategy research of cataloging work.The paper includes three parts: the first chapter mainly introduces the paper’s research background and significance of this topic, foreign and domestic scholars’ relevant research results, research methods and innovation about this paper. The second part has four chapters, the second chapter is an overview of the development of RDA, including the origin of FRBR, RDA’s background, reasons of using RDA, the progress of the RDA. Main components of this paper includes chapter 3 and chapter 4, AACR2, International Standard Bibliographic Description(ISBD), RDA cataloguing the similarities and differences, comparing and analyzing of the RDA development model are briefly introduced, and the application and innovation of RDA. The fifth chapter elaborates RDA influence on cataloging work in china, it mainly embraces new role of catalogers, the following cataloging idea, fusion and innovation of cataloging rules work and national financial support for the library. The third part is the conclusion of the article, which is the summarize of full text, and certainly analysis and forecasts RDA cataloging’ domestic application.
