The topic provides a specific design for large capacity, high-definition, long-distance video’s transmission.This design achieves a single VGA (or DVI) and uncompressed real-time transmission of high-definition digital video.The system uses a modular design approach, the whole system is divided into: image acquisition module, FPGA processing module, the image display module, optical interface module. In order to ensure functionality and enhance the reliability, the system uses source coding technology, clock recovery technology and fiber optic communication technology.The system uses source coding technology, the horizontal and vertical sync signals and pixel clock signal coding into the horizontal blanking signal is sent, Compared to traditional way of FPGA plus external SDRAM, It not only improves the speed, but also solves the problem of need for a large external SDRAM cache.In order to solve the problem of different image formats during transmission of fast switching, the system uses the Xilinx FPGA internal PLL to design dynamic configuration of synchronous clock recovery, which can recover pixel clock within 2us.The test results show that:the system can transmit image of the highest 1280× 1024@ 60Hz; the switching time delay in transmission of different image formats is controlled within 2us;it switchs quickly and there is no delay and smearing for the image, the whole system is stable and has a good effect on real-time video transmission...
