AODV-UU and DSR-UU high rate routing protocols are implemented on embedded Linux operating systems to build an experimental platform for wireless sensor networks based on 802.11 high-rate data transmission protocol in this paper. The performance of the two routing protocols are compared and analyzed. At first, the process of building the Linux operating system which is based on Smart210 development board is described. And secondly AODV-UU and DSR-UU are two typical routing protocols for wireless sensor networks which can be applied to the Linux operating system, the implementation principles of the two routing protocols are analyzed. Thirdly, AODV-UU, AODV and DSR routing protocols are simulated by NS2 and their packet delivery fraction, average end-to-end delay of data packets and routing convergence time are compared. Simulation experimental results show that AODV-UU is suitable for static or mobile wireless sensor networks for high-speed data transmission. Fourthly, AODV-UU and DSR-UU are cross-compiled and transplanted to the development board node. In a real static environment, and the average end to end delay, packet loss rate and throughput of the network system are tested and compared after the multi-hop networks are set up. The comparison shows the advantages of AODV-UU in practical applications. Finally, an improving algorithm to AODV-UU in multipath according to the idea of multipath is proposed, and the implementation effect of AOMDV-UU is verified.
