With the development of society, mass media is becoming an important and essential part in people’s social life. The representation of one group of the society may also manifest the ideology established by news reports. Many researches show that this kind of representation may manipulate the public opinion and influence people’s behavior. Bite women as member in elite group are the leaders in development country, although it exists stereotype of them generally. In recent years, the news of elite women in the magazine increases year by year which means social status and social influence of women are raising. More and more elite women enter the public discourse space, although it not means that their media images are shown properly. So the study about media images of elite women is necessary.In order to illustrate the media image of elite women effectively and how the media constructs the image of this group, through the quantitative analysis method, this study intends to analyze the news reports from Southern People from 2010 to 2014.Rrstly, the study will analyzes the image of elite women through statistics of basic information, types of themes, reporting theme, the role type and the tendency of content. Then we find out the reasons and solutions based on the image of elite in Southern people.In the research, the Southern People has got out of the traditional images of women who are devoted wives. It emphasizes social status and contribution of elite women. Women are not dependent on men anymore, and they can be excellent as men even surpass them. However, there are also some unconscious sexual distribution sentences in the magazine which means that stereotype of elite women has still existed. Elite women have struggled to rid themselves from stereotype.
