| Smartphones and tablet computer have become popular rapidly in recent years. Android has been widely used as the mobile platform OS depending on its good user experience and high degree of openness. With the rapid development of mobile Internet, more and more people use mobile devices to watch videos.Up to now, most domestic and oversea video sites such as YouTube, Youku, Tudou have developed HTML5-based site for the mobile devices, users can use Android device enjoy the massive online video resources by browser. However, this method of watching videos is restricted by the network environment and the constraints of flow, so that users cannot watch videos without WI-FI. This creates the demand for offline viewing video. Existing measures is to install the client on each site, and then cache the network video to local for offline viewing. This method has many deficiencies such as the client can only download their website video; the video downloaded to the local can only be viewed with its client and cannot be exported; some videos are not available for download; some websites have no client. It can be said that existing methods cannot meet the needs of offline viewing video for users.According to this background and needs, this paper designs Android Platform Video Sniffer and Downloader, which is based on JavaScript and DOM interaction techniques, the MIME analysis and file signature filtered double sniffer video mode, and multithreading download. It has achieved HTTP protocol on-demand video, HTTP Live Streaming protocol on-demand video and sniffing and download of live video. It’s convenient for Android users to watch videos offline anytime you want, which can be downloaded to device in a good network environment. |
