Traditional broadcast transmission systems,such as optical fiber,satellite and so on,have stable transmission and high signal quality.They play a great role in the broadcast transmission system.However,their poor transmission flexibility and high system cost limit the development of the broadcast transmission system.With the rapid development of streaming media technology,using streaming media to transmit broadcast signals,the system is cheap and flexible,and can overcome the shortcomings of traditional broadcasting transmission system.The latest streaming media technology has put forward the HTTP adaptive streaming technology.Currently,there are four popular adaptive streaming technologies--Adobe Http Dynamic Streaming,Apple Http Live Streaming,Microsoft Silverlight Smooth,and MPEG-DASH.Apple gives up a dedicated streaming media sever but returns to using a standard Web server to deliver audio and video media data.With its very popular terminal devices,Apple has become a leader in streaming media technology,supporting real-time and on-demand.This thesis describes the background of the subject application and summarized the current streaming technologies first,followed by the introduction of the Http Live Streaming(HLS)protocol based and MPEG-4 AAC,including HLS protocol such as the index file,TS encapsulation format,AAC code basis and the related basic knowledge.Next,how to build the design process and the each module's functions of the broadcast streaming media transmission system,which uses Nginx as a streaming media-server,is given.Finally,the system is tested according to national standard,and its technical specifications are given.
