The new Miyilu village is located in the border of Yunnan Province inhabited by the Yi. Since the reform and opening up, a massive wave of modernization swept into the village which promoted the village unprecedented dramatic changes, In this revolution, television is the most common and important modernization factor. Besides, it is the witness of the important changes. We can say that the change course of the village is the development process of the village TV.The main research method is field investigation. Selecting the Miyilu village Nanhua County in Yunnan Province as a case the author focuses on the changes and responses from the villagers after the television was introduced into the village. The purpose of the article is to describe and show "how to change", which is only presented portion of the real world. Although the phenomena itself is not universal, it is the most true answer.The article is divided into four chapters:the first chapter focuses on the profile and change of the village, mainly on the village’s history, natural ecology, ethnic population, traditional culture and the historical significance of the "power ups"; The second chapter describes the collective memories of the TV. It is about the initial life and emotional experience of the village residents when TV just enters the village; The third chapter describes the impaction to the daily life after the popularity of the television in the village. The description focuses on three parts:the transfer of the public space, sex selection of watching TV and restructuring of the family power structure; The fourth chapter describes the TV’s "Miyilu" adaptation in the village. After television has become a way of life in Miyilu village, the village began to change and some features appear. That is, the local adaption is different from other place. To summarize, TV is not the redeemer of the village modernization process. It can infiltrate the village with its incomparable advantages, but cannot control the village and determine the future. Its history is the process of interdependence, mutual influence and mutual adaptation with the village.
