GPS which is made in USA still takes advantage in the field of global satellite navigation. But with the continuous improvement of science and technology, BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) which is made in China plays its important role in this field. BDS uses the technology named QPSK to modulate the signals while GPS uses the technology called BPSK. Although these two technologies of modulation provided the same BER(Bits Error Rate), BDS lifts the data transfer rate twice as much as BPSK. Therefore, the positioning performance improved in BDS. Nowadays, the government has published the public service signals named B1I and B2I. It is important for people and national economy to do some researches in these two public service signals. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. Introduce the development of the BDS; summarize the developments of software signal receivers and generators; focus on the research of the B1I and B2I signals’structures and features of BDS; analyze and describe the theories of ranging codes, navigation message, delay and noise models, QPSK modulation and up/down conversion.2. Analyze the algorithms about signal acquisition, tracking and decoding by using the BDS IF signals; propose a solution of signal processing and improvements of some algorithms which provides a platform for the generation of BDS signals.3. Verify and generate the IF signal data files by using MATLAB R2012b; propose a method which may improve the speed of data generation on the basis of the results of experiments.4. Analyze the system architecture of BDS RF signal generator; focus on the control of the up-converter and the AWG(Any Waveform Generator); construct the system by using Lab VIEW 8.2.1 and PXI.
