With rapid improvement of computer and telecommunication technology, internet technology which based on computer and telecommunication has brought great changes to people’s life and internet economic behavior, such as online shopping, electronic payment, e-commerce network have been publicized. Nowadays "Digital Economy" is leading the world into a brand-stage of development. However, the increasingly open network information system has also brought growing number of security risks, hackers, Trojans and viruses, being a direct threat to the security of networks and information systems. Therefore, the security for network information system has aroused more and more attention from the mass.This thesis first introduces the research background, makes an exploration on the threats enterprises and state-owned institutions encountered, expounds the necessity and urgency of protecting the safety of network information system and introduces the main issues of the thesis. In the establishment of a safe and reliable environment for enterprises and information systems, we provide systematic advice for selecting safety technology in enterprises and state-owned institutions from the perspectives of software, hardware and network. In the meanwhile, the development of enterprises and state-owned institutions information system is briefly accounted and the importance and difficulties for maintaining the safety of the system have been analyzed as well.The thesis puts an emphasis on elaborating the ways to build systematic design for a Fire-fighting Troop network information system from the perspective of overall systematic construction, correlated arrangement in accordance with safety protection strategic model with combination of considering the security techniques and measures. Furthermore, the thesis elaborates details and critical techniques of the system, especially ID authentication, access control system and intrusion prevention system.In the end, a conclusion is drawn on the methods for protecting information system in enterprises and state-owned institutions and the author points out that this will be an arduous and persistent work.
