Design Of Smart Home Gateway Based On WiFi

In recent years, the internet of things has become the global focus area and is considered as the most important technology innovation after the Internet. As an important application of the internet of things, smart home is a market with great potential and future prospects for developing. Smart home project developed includes intelligent e-gateway as the core, as well as home intelligent terminal devices, environmental data collection and home control devices.This paper analyzes the status of the development of smart home control system,duo to the high cost and highly complex issues on the current smart home control system, we design intelligent home based on WiFi home control system gateway. This gateway solve the problems of poor mobility, system complexity and high cost in traditional smart home control systems, the WiFi technology, ZigBee networking technology and ethernet communications technology are combined to make home gateway system become more flexible with mutiple control modes. The main contains of this paper are introduced as the following parts:1)Design the architecture of smart home gateway, an embedded hardware platform was built in STM32F103C8T6 core processor chip. μC/OS-II operating system kernel was analyzed, was successfully transplanted into Cortex-M3 core processor chip STM32F103C8T6, moreover the relevant drivers and multi-tasking applications was developed.2)The appliances wireless communication protocol was studied, preliminary discuss the data exchange among smart mobile terminals,information appliances and smart home gateway in the smart home system.3)On the basis of TCP, UDP protocol, so that Internet users can access control systems, debugging assistant through the network appliance remote control.4)ZigBee networking technology using the smart home design, through wireless networking for data collection within the family environment.The experimental tests show that the design of smart home gateway can well meet the demand of smart, portable and user-friendly in smart home control system, it can better achieve the home facility centralized management and control, while with easy operation, simple structure, low cost and so on,which provide the possibility for the promotion of low-cost smart home.
