Wetland is rich biological diversity of nature ecosystem, a flood regulation, climate regulation, water conservation and other important ecological function, is known as the “kidney of nature”. Wetland birds in the wild animals is the most representative groups, is an important part of the wetland ecosystem. Bird species of wetland biodiversity and ecological balance provides an important basis. Birds’ sing is characteristic of species, is to identify the important basis of birds. Therefore, completes the wetland bird monitoring survey, to maintain the basic ecological wetland, to improve the ecological environment is of great significance in our country.In order to provide a good performance, low cost, and make the chirping of birds of wireless remote transmission monitoring system, based on the analysis of the existing audio system architecture and the collection and processing, on the basis of 3G wireless data transmission technology, research and design based on ARM embedded platform and 3G wireless data transmission technology, for wetland birds audio information acquisition and transmission. In this paper, the main work and conclusions are as follows:(1) The research and analysis the advantages and shortcomings of existing research results, according to the requirements of birdsong collection and transmission, put forward the ARM embedded platform combined with 3G Internet module and solar energy power supply module design.(2) The overall cost of the system and the performance factors, such as the relevant software and hardware structure design. Selected the embedded platform, processor, the audio sensor model, the 3G network module type and 3G transmission system, solar module type.(3) Choose according to the demand of the development system of embedded Linux operating system as the ARM development board of the operating system, and the embedded Linux operating system transplant, compile the BootLoader to start the BootLoader, clipping, configuration, and related the Linux kernel compilation, making yaffs2 format root file system, completed the system transplantation.(4)For birdsong acquisition program design, the ARM development board of implements the ARM development board of chirp acquisition function. On the 3G module driver online editing and loading, and write the script, dial-up service implements the dial-up Internet access while the embedded development board for 3 g function. For the ARM development board for the wireless data transmission application design, realized the ARM development board of chirp data transmission function. Design the solar power supply module architecture, has realized the songbirds collection and transmission system of power supply for a long time. For birdsong monitoring system set up a VPN server, realize the ARM embedded platform connecting to the VPN server.(5) To birdsong monitoring system was tested. First in the LAN environment, using multi-threaded data transmission mode test data transmission performance of the system, the system transmission rate is high, the audio is clear, collection and stability. Then under the similar VPN network model tested the feasibility of the design, the feasibility of the data of end-to-end transmission. Finally has carried on the system of comprehensive testing, the proposed system can realize real-time monitoring birdsong, lay the foundation for follow-up study.
