This research concerns about the lap between the should-be and being status of intellectuals. The word "stars" refer to those who make frequent public appearance. In the past, this word would have mentioned us of great intellectuals, such as Sartre and Zola in France, and Liang Qichao, Hu Shi in China. But today, it mentioned us "Lecture Room" intellectuals, and those public intellectuals on the Internet, who take advantage of most public resourses.Research of media filed was firstly carried out by Bourdieu——the famous French sociologist, and has developed a history of more than 20 years. In Sur la television (the book written by Bourdieu), he named the intellectuals who were cooperating with TV programs "fast thinkers" with criticism. The study under this very concept "field" means a connecting perspective of microscopic personal behavior, mesoscopic institution and macroscopic social structure. It is a critic weapon, which focuses on the collusion of TV and intellectuals as an overall phenomenon, instead of individuals.20 years has passed after French TV was announced to be with symbolic violence, it is critical that we explore the difference and similarity of Chinese TV- intellectual collaboration. On the other hand, with the development of internet technology, the cyberspace has become a new platform of communication, thus the intellectual discourse. This article is a continuation of research ideas of Bourdieu, using concept such as media filed, capital and tactics. The aim of this research is to clarify the relationship between media platform and intellectuals. This theoretical framework of Bourdieu can avoid the tendency of media determinism, and it can emphasize dimensions of individual strategies to fight. The first chapter is introduction of intellectual, field theory and other related concepts, while making the point clear that the significance of this research is to study a very special kind of interactors using field theory. Chapter 2 is a study of TV intellectuals. They vary a lot from traditional intellectuals and can be represented by "Lecture Room" intellectuals, of whom the most famous is Yu Dan and Yi Zhongtian. Chapter 3 is a case study of a phenomenon mostly caused by a writer named Han Han on the Internet. As the hottest stars of TV intellectuals, Yu Dan and Yi Zhongtian are not able to carry the public dimension of traditional intellectuals, but only the business logic of TV production industry. The public intellectuals on the Internet space, who can be represented by Han Han, are leaders of populism. They have all the appearance of intellectuals, but still not powerful enough to have real impact on the political field. Chapter 4 is a comparison of TV field and Internet field, as well as the strategies intellectuals use in this two kinds of media field. On the basis of conclusions drawn above, media field should be put back to the social culture background and ask a further question:Why did all intellectuals disappear. The dilemma of all the thesis about intellectuals is as follows:the intellectual group is decaying, while no practical solution could be offered. It is because that this decline is rooted in the social transformation of the narrative. This research is facing the dilemma as well. In the media-intellectual game, the former always win. It cannot be denied that the present situation could be described as pessimistic, but still this research stand for the intellectual discourse. Currently, the concept of intellectual should not be abandoned.
