With the development of economy, science and technology, the web3.0 era has arrived, the new media products emerge in large numbers. Filled with all kinds of information flow in our brains, This has given the social interaction of individuals a profound impact on their self-image when rendered. Wechat is gradually replacing the traditional mobile operators SMS, MMS and other contact information, number of users soared since the launch in January 2011.Currently, Wechat mobile phone users has become a way of life, and opened a new era of mobile Internet communication. As a comparison, the Wechat relatively is a new social networking tool, in addition to meet college students’ trying new things and curiosity, it is more to break the constraints of time, but also has expanded its social.scope, enrich their social content and quickly convey social information, which directly affect attract more university students to join the ranks of the Wechat using. So how is the status quo of college students self-presentation in the Wechat? What are the characteristics of self-presentation? What are similarities and differences in these features and characteristics of their self-presentation in real life? What does the similarities and differences of these factors? For the above questions, this study combined with dramaturgical theory and impression management theory above issues were discussed.The main contents of this study was to investigate college students’ Wechat current situation and characteristics of self-presentation in Hefei and self-presentation of college students in Wechat and real-life self-presentation of the similarities and differences of the influencing factors were analyzed. We combine the questionnaire and non-structured interviews,with questionnaire-based, non-structured interviews supplemented.The conclusions are as follows:Chapter One:Introduction. This section analyzes the origin and significance of the topic. The author briefly introduce the innovation of this study.In the present of research section, the paper reviews the research of Wechat’ transmission, including Wechat communicator, communication characteristic and function;self-presentation related research, including the theory of presentation of self and impression management theory, the theory of self-presentation concepts, these can provide atheoretical basis for the subsequent further clarify research and ideas.Chapter Two:Students’ Network self-presentation status and research assumptions. This section first introduce the current situation of students’ network of self-presentation, and then leading to different environments’ influence (the real world and in cyberspace) on the self-presentation, exploring the college students self-presentation under the Wechat network environment provides theoretical support, describing research to a certain extent for College Students Wechat self-presentation and self-presentation reality factor has the consistency of value, is also required. The above analysis leads to finally undertake the research question and the hypothesis of this study, furtherly introduces the selected research variables.Chapter Three:An empirical analysis of the questionnaire survey data. This section contains the preparation of empirical research before, such as the determination of research methods, the design of the questionnaire and the unstructured interviews outline, sample’s sizing and the statistical description of the basic information; also contains empirical research data analysis. Using spss13.0 software, we make the descriptive analysis, chi-square test and logistic regression analysis of the status quo of the college students using Wechat, Wechat features self-presentation, the authenticity of using Wechat and the Wechat self-presentation and the self-presentation in real life’s consistency factors are statistically analyzed.Chapter 4:Conclusions. By studying the results of this study the following conclusions:the college student Wechat customer have the higher loyalty; the college student Wechat using’ privacy are higher; the college student Wechat use "performance" sexual orientation is not weak; the college student Wechat using’ self-presentation are more authenticity; highly educated, the students were concerned, signature views concerning attitudes and emotion, fear micro messages are known by who the user not want to let it see, these factors have weaken the college students’ consistency between the Wechat self-presentation and the real life’s self-presentation; to be concerned by the teacher, signature covering loving and personality, the more concerned about their mood, feelings and more care in their own Wechat image and the others’ thinking of these factors have enhanced the college students’ consistency between the Wechat self-presentation and the real life’s self-presentation. Finally, Research limitations of the study are described.
