Programmable logic controller (PLC) is based on micro controller as the core, it is a combination of computer technology, automatic control technology and communication technology, the automatic control device is a new general industry, because of its simple and convenient quickly and widely used in all walks of life. With the development of the industry, to achieve the PLC function by using the software of PLC is developed gradually, its advantages are very obvious flexible and can use the hardware characteristics of PC machine, but the large volume, high cost still limit its further development. Embedded PLC based on PLC makes full use of the advantages of the embedded system, set a variety of hardware and software resources integration, give full play to the function of PLC in industrial control applications, is the development trend of the future PLC.The main task of this project is based on ATmega16 chip as the main chip, made a high performance price ratio, strong stability, strong anti-interference ability of the programmable logic controller. With the self-made programmable logic controller as the main chip, embedded system development environment at home and abroad, combined with the MCU, embedded system and PLC system design, combined with the actual production, the requirements of industrial production, electronic logic circuit design. The PLC software systems by using Visual Studio 2010 MFC development, through the RS232 serial port communication, the communication protocol of the cases, with a personal computer to write, compile, debug, download the program. Combined with the requirements of the production process, the hardware configuration of PLC, set out to design a traffic system. Firstly, evaluate the feasibility of the system, through the production requirements for the components of the system are listed, screening. Analysis of system operation logic, to draw a flow chart of the system, and further draw the system electrical schematic diagram of system components, the acquisition, then the installation, commissioning. To find out the deficiencies, combined with the similar system, improvement.
