With the fast development of information technology, Computer, Communication and Consumer(3C) tend to integrate. Embedded system(ES) becomes 3C's perfect carrier because of its unique characteristic. So the research of the technology of embedded system becomes very important currently.The author's work in research of an embedded system based on μC/OS-Ⅱ and ATmega16 is discussed in detail in this thesis. First of all, the author gives an outline of the actuality and trend of development of Embedded System, and some basic conceptions of the Real-Time Operating System are also briefly introduced. Secondly, the characteristic of μC/OS-Ⅱ (which is an Embedded Real-Time Operating System) and ATmega16 (which is an AVR Microcontroller) is described detailedly. And the author achieves the program that grafts the kernel of μC/OS-Ⅱ to hardware platform based on ATmega16. Then, in order to expound the concrete process of designing the embedded system based on μC/OS-Ⅱ and Atmega16, the author designs a multipoint temperature measuring system according to the exploitation flow of Embedded System. Finally, the author uses Proteus to test and simulate the graft code and the whole system. The result of simulation indicates that the multitask Embedded Real-Time Operating system is stable and reliable.By researching the embedded system based on μC/OS-Ⅱ and ATmega16, the author established the base for deep studying the technology of embedded system and accumulated experience for designing and exploiting the embedded system product that based on other operating system and processor.
