A Medium Strategy Research Of Ordos’s City Image Communication

City image spreading is actually a dynamic process to attract the audience. The city uses all kinds of means and methods to express the city idea through city signs’ information interaction so that the society and the public can form a positive and overall cognition. The public media play an important role in this process. Therefore, how to spread the city image using media and combining the local conditions becomes a new research subject.In recent years, Ordos which is susceptible to the hot events is labelled of credit crisis, private loans, the extent of the housing bust, bosses skip, industrial ghost town and so on. Though the local media make great efforts to reverse the negative city image, it was not obvious.After researching the state of Ordos’s city image spreading, the author finds out that the local media have five aspects problems:communication subject, content, channel, effect and replying on network public opinion. Based on the above analysis, the author advances the media strategies of Ordos’s city image spreading, presenting the city image spreading strategies by the traditional paper media and networking media. The author says that as the representative of the traditional paper, the local party newspapers should speed up the system reform on the whole and change the news report methods. As for the other networking media, the author presents suggestions: networking topic propaganda, extending networking report platform, increasing networking guiding force and dealing with internet public options actively. The author hopes that this study can give the answering strategy to Ordos’s city image spreading and contribute a little to raising the city image spreading result.
