First, this paper briefly introduces the basic concept, main tasks, work process, study situations of Helmet-Mounted Display Systems(HMDS)。This paper briefly introduces the work principle and the general construcion of HMD optical system。The optical structure and design demands relate to the optical system of avionic HMS/HMD are described in detail in this paper。A parabolic visor projectile display is selected as a final scheme。 Design of visor type helmet display optical system。An off-axis aspheric optical system of visor projectile HMD is designed and optimized by using CODE-V(9.5) software。The result is very good and this optical system makes HMS/HMD structure more reasonable and practical。Analysis of the optical properties and distortion characteristics of the optical system。Study on the optical system distortion algorithm software correction method, the distortion correction algorithm and software are presented to reduce the distortion of the designed optical system,experimental results show that after correcting the distortion for the designed optical system,a high imaging quality is achieved,the MTF approaches 0.2 at the spatial frequency of 501p/mm,and the full field of view distortion is less than 0.5%,the results meet the demands of airborne helmet visor display。At last, key technologyies and development trends of HMDS are analyzed。...
