Data Minnig Applying In Educational Admniistartion System Of The Open University

In the educational environment which combining information technology, networking and higher education highly, the Open University advocates "Cooperation in Running Schools" for nowadays education model. The aim of cooperation in running schools is to take full use of high-quality educational resources in every university and to establish the learning resources which are set up by the curriculum unite to share the learning resources, so as to achieve the system of the Credit Bank. However, how to get mutual recognition of credits for the learning outcomes in different universities is still in the exploratory stage currently. This thesis will explored how to make full use of the data within each university educational administration system to establish the Associated College Educational Data Warehouse; and then by using the data mining technology to extract valuable knowledge for providing decisional support of the mutual recognition for the credit system, as well as to summarize some management rules of Cooperation between Universities. Follow this idea,and based on using the data mining algorithm and decision tree algorithm and the algorithm of association rules,this paper will make a following discusssion.Ⅰ、By using the means of decision treee algorithm c4.5, the student achievement data file in Nanping Television and Radio University data system was analyzed, then the classification rules were generated, and get the conclusion:under the cooperative education mode, the merits of the case for students’grades, has a close connection with the curriculum assessment methods adopted. Based on the conclusion, suggestions on the learning outcomes assessment can use the "network examination" way when that is under the cooperative education modeⅡ、By using the means of the Apriori algorithm of assoeiation rule, the student achievement data file in Nanping Television and Radio University data system was analyzed, then a new strong assoeiation rules were generated, so get the conclusion:under the cooperative education mode, The merits of the students’current curriculum grade, has a close relation with some necessary course the students have taken or not. Based on the conclusion, therefore, this paper advice that to set the main course planning more unified for the students in cooperative education modeⅢ、By takes advantages of the technology of data mining, to make a discussion in establishing the United College educational administration data warehouse,and to propose development process and application of United College educational administration data mining system, with the result that it provides decision-making basis for school administrators to carry out cooperation better in running schools and teaching reform.The research for application above provides a good decision support for Colleges and Universities to develop reasonable cooperative education management rules and the construction of credit system of the "credit bank".
