Triple-network Convergence Set-top Box Terminal Design And Its Implementation

With the continuous development and progress of the economy and technology, traditional television programs no longer adapted to the trend of the time and the needs of consumers. The development of high-definition video network, greatly enhance the promotion of network television. With the growth of multimedia services user information demand and vigorously promote the integration of triple-networks convergence, set-top box become digital terminal family essential.This thesis from the triple-networks convergence of new requirement for the user terminal set-top box, which discussed the function requirement and designed thought of the set-top box convergence, the overall design of the set-top box hardware system and software system, specific hardware circuit and software function module design in detail. In this thesis, the specific contents including several aspects as follows:First, the functional requirements of the system analyzed, then according to the functional requirements, and give the overall design of the set-top box system;Second, according to the requirements, gave the specific design of the set-top box hardware structure, mainly including the CPU module, human-computer interaction module, Ethernet interface module, USB interface module, HDMI module, the tuning and demodulation module and so on;Third, it is taken the detailed design of the set-top box software part, which is also the focus of chapter text. During software design, the author respectively gave a detailed design of the software part of the drive input and output module, tuning and demodulation module, media player module, network interactive application modules, and electronic program guide module by des(?)oach of based middle-ware functionality to scale up the operating system or even a direct replacement for the functionality of the middle ware layer.Finally, test the design of the system, analysis of testing results, brief summary and improvement.This research work carried out which according to the enterprise’s new product development. The actual test results show that, the set-top box design can achieve the basic functions, and achieved initial results. The results for the design and development of related products have practical application and reference value.
