Along with the unceasing development of commodities industry and logistics industry, the ownership and demand for our pallets are rising. The logistics cost continuously grows, which lead to the seriously threaten to the enterprises. In order to standardize logistics activity and reduce the cargo damage rate, the Pallet Tracking System is built necessarily, which will promote the recycling of recoverable resource and the development of pallet industry.Firstly, it analyzed the requirements of Pallet Tracking System and designed the functional model to system. The main contents of key technologies of Pallet Tracking System includes RFID, bar code technology and GIS technology. Secondly, according to comparative analysis of the characteristics of Two-dimensional Codes and bar code, it combined with bar code tracking system functional requirements, thus the bar code coding scheme is achieved. Then, based on the needs of the data collection in the Pallet Tracking System, UHF Passive RFID and Secondary Injection equipment is selected after comparative analysis and market research. Besides, with analyzing the EPC encoding, the encoding structure and detail content of the RFID tag are designed. Through analysis and investigation of the structure and storage of tag, the solution of the data storage area of tag and the capacity selection can be determined. Next, in order to make the tag easy to scan in the circulation process, how to fix the tags and bar codes on pallet is provided. According to the needs of the device to the data acquisition system, combining with the investigation and analysis of market, the list of equipment is presented. Finally, combine with integrating RFID reader, tag, computer hardware and software, the system development platform is presented. Data acquisition system and map display functions are implemented by using SQL Server database, Visual Studio 2010, Baidu Maps API and C # programming language.RFID data acquisition and Baidu map display function in the Pallet Pooling and Tracking System based on Internet of things are designed, which can effectively track pallets in circulation and show the data on the map. Thus the system can manage the assets effectively, improve the efficiency of logistics operations and reduce logistics costs.
