At present, in development of multi-purpose missile guided by fiber-optic, fiber-optic wire package twine with constant tension. In constant tension winding case, the outer fiber will produce radial compression effect on the inner optical fiber, making inner and outer fiber stress vary greatly, appearing phenomenon that the center fiber is tighten. This phenomenon has a fatal impact on the properties of fiber-optic wire package. To solve this problem, this paper presents variable tension winding method of optical fiber, launches a development of variable tension control system. This paper mainly works in the following aspects:1) Make a scheme of the tension control systemAs request, this paper makes a scheme of the closed-loop tension control system, which is made up of SCM, permanent magnet DC motor torque, and tension pickup, and so on.2) Study on the structure of the tension control systemAccording to the research project and the main technical indicators, this paper adopts 90LYX05 permanent magnet DC motor and YHZL-2 strain gauge tension pickup; designs structure of actuating mechanism, feeler mechanism and buffer gear; draws their assembly drawing.3) Research on hardware circuitFor dynamic and static performance specifications of the system, this paper selects the C8051F120 SCM, achieves the hardware design of the tension control system, and introduces the principle of hardware circuit.4) Control tactics of tension control system-fuzzy self-tuning PIDEstablishment of mathematical model for tension control system get ready for the analysis of tension control system performance and simulation of tension control system. According to the mathematical model of the system, this paper decides to adopt fuzzy self-tuning PID as system strategy. The simulation of fuzzy self-tuning PID controller and conventional PID controller is realized by using the MATLAB fuzzy logic tool and SIMULINK. The simulation results show that the system with fuzzy self-tuning PID is better.5) Tension controller software researchSoftware design of tension controller uses a modular design method. The function of the system is divided into modules to write and debug. After all the modules successfully debug, the modules are connected together, and constitute the software system of the controller. The software system includes tension sampling module, PID control module, liquid crystal display module, serial communication module and so on.6) Finally, the experimental platform of tension control system is built, on which a large number of steady-state and dynamic tests are finished. Experimental results show that this system cannot satisfy the expected goal of this topic, and the system with fuzzy self-tuning PID is better.
