In recent years,people’s living standards improved greatly.The function of material demand and the quality of video is growing.With the rapid development of electronic science and technology,the video processing has made great progress,video stitching technology also overcame many difficulties.Currently,the video stitching technique is mainly used in digital broadcasting,electronic monitoring,traffic monitoring,military surveillance,medical and other fields.Video splicing technology is developing in the direction of the higher definition.the mainly problems of video stitching are lot of information and the high speed.but the FPGA has high performance and more flexibility,can solve the problem very well.The content of this study is multiplex HD-SDI video stitching system design which is based on the FPGA.The design of video mosaicing system can satisfy a SMPTE292M standard video.The implementation of the whole system mainly divided into the following process.Four HD-SDI input video signal, video signal conversion processing and one HD-SDI video signal output.In the thesis introduces the FPGA and the composition of the core of the system design latticeECP3 FPGA device,a systematic analysis the basic work of HD-SDI video signal protocol and the each module of system design.Through the basis of the FPGA design of part carried on the thorough research and implement four video splicing.Using Diamond software, Modelsim software and other tools to complete the design.The innovation points of this paper is processing HD-SDI video signal,and use the bilinear interpolation algorithm as the four-way HD-SDI video stitching algorithm.And the Lattice company ECP3 chip has the advantages of speed in power and speed.
