As the video develops from low definition(LD) to high definiton(HD) and people’sdemands are increasing, videos’ switching performance face higher requirements.Video matrix switchers make it is possible to switch video integratedly, but switchersusually own two seconds delay which causes flicker and black screen in switchingprocess. How to accomplish reasonable, fast and smooth switching is to be solved forvideo matrix switchers. While seamless switching can realize fast and smoothswitching between different routes of switcher,and introduces gradient effects toeliminate flicker and black screen in switching process.Based on deep understanding on switching and controlling of HD mixed digitalmatrix switchers, the thesis mainly studied on seamless switching and uppercomputer control. The study of seamless switching, firstly introduced the overallframework of the video matrix switcher and analyzed cascade system’scommunication process, then according them to analyze the existing seamlessswitching schemes, finally put forward an improved scheme which can be applied inthe system. The following study was on special effects in seamless switching process,firstly introduced the basic way of digital effects briefly and chose appropriatetransition effects, then validated the special effects algorithm and simulated to choosetheir reasonable duration, and finally analyzed the special effects’ implement modules.PC control software was achieved by adopting Qt development tools anduser-centered design idea, it was divided into UI design and SDK development. Todiscover and locate errors in time, the test was proceeded with step by step anddesigned device simulator to facilitate test.There is no flicker and black screen when HD mixed digital matrix switcher usesthe improved seamless switching scheme, videos switching performance areimproved effectively. The software can realize remote control when PC connects tothe matrix switcher via Ethernet, and the operation interface is simple and easy tostart.
