In recent years, the government starts a thorough reform on the publishing industry. Many state-owned publishing house have established publishing groups through mergers and acquisitions, and expand their business in diverse fields. Development in pluralism looks bringing in great opportunities, creating significant economic value, but in essence there is a risk in publishing industry of resulting in the loss of spreading culture spirits.Here is a trend that the masses readers’reading habits are changing from deep reading to shallow reading, ideas and aesthetic standards are declining, many good books are unrevealed, while cultural spirit is ignored. To make better sales promotion of books and dissemination of culture, takes more work on the marketing strategies other than only rely on the quality content of the books. To attract the attention of the messes, to create a popular topic, is the best to make the books well-received and applauded.In the last two years, TV series and movies like "Du Lala Getting Promoted", "Zhen Huan Zhuan" and "Hammer House Of Horror",adapted from novels, became popular Chinese TV dramas. After the TV broadcast, these books have been re-listed on fine packaging, triggering a second round of selling frenzy. This marketing model in China has become the main trend, which can grab the readers attention, highlight the books from the vast publication information.This thesis will first analyze the development background of the film and television books, marketing models and advantage from the history, the status, characteristics and other aspects of film and television books; noted the establishment of a film and television books industrial chain focuses on publishing of books, which, at the same time, promotes the publication industry specialization.In this thesis, a research of the imperfect development, the legal system, the lack of creativity and the derivative product of film and television books. This thesis mainly discusses a successful marketing case of book publishing, the film "The Love of the Hawthorn Tree", indicates the two important elements of publishing-content creation and the resources of the movie and video.
