With the development of modern electronic information technology, simulationtechnology has been widely applied in radar systems. It uses certain index, model orcalculation method to achieve the best simulation for actual or virtual system and processin order to achieve the best radar system design or the optimal signal processing, etc.Radarsystem simulation technology has the characteristics of vivid, flexible, economical. Theradar simulation echo can provide reliable data for target recognition system.In this paper, We use MATLAB and SE-WORKBENCH software to realize the echosimulation of linear frequency modulation pulse signal.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,gives a brief introduction about radar system simulation and the developmentof radar signal simulation and RCS computing simulation.Secondly,describes the radar echo signal models, including function simulation andcoherent viedo simulation radar signal. Besides,uses quadrature modulation to get I,Q dualchannel signal. Also introduces radar emission signal——Linear Frequency MudulationPulse Signal and FFT pulse compression method.In addition,discusses radar echoprocessing,including moving target indication and moving target detection.Then,detailed analyzes target motion models,including the uniform acceleratedrectlinear motion and the uniform angular velocity circular motion.Introduces the conceptand caculation method of radar cross section,gives brief description about classicalsolution, low frequency and high frequency method. Detailed describes geometrical opticsmethod, physical optics method, geometrical theory of diffraction and physical theory ofdiffraction algorithm.Finally,uses SE-WORKBENCH software to implement the dynamic RCS curves ofcomplex target. Also discusses the influence factors of RCS.Completes simulation of theuniform motion and the uniform angular velocity circular motion.Through MTI and MTDtechonology to distinguish different targets and generate RCS curves and rangecurves,finally compared with actual data,hence proves the correctness of the simulationmodeling.
