This subject came from a guitar effects processor project. First section introduce the basic components of the hardware system and the software architecture. The second section describe the basic knowledge of the digital audio effects processing.The one is the transform between time domain and the frequency domain,the other is the design of the digital filter. The third section focuse on three important audio effect algorithms: pitch shifting, flanging and reverberation. The thesis introduce the principle of pitch shifting and propose an improved algorithm for pitch modification perform on time domain. The test by tunner instrument shows little error. After the pitch shifting introduce the special audio effect flangering ,realization this algorithm base on two different delay line. The last algorithm is reverberation, detail the design of 11 different reverberations such as hall, room, spring, plate reverberation and so on. Then analyse the algorithms base on wav ,spectra and the energy decay relief 3D figure. In the end, a summary is proposed for the whole system’s research. Some means improving the system are disscussed ,as well as the future research object.
