| With the development of automobile industry in our country, there is an increasing demand of dies for auto body, but many problems still exist, such as the long manufacturing period of die design, bad performance of the quality and reliability, lack of inducement and arrangement for die design knowledge, and failing to reuse and share the knowledge and experience. Assembly design is the critical procedure of die design for auto body, and it affects every procedure, final product quality and productivity of die design for auto body. How to conduct the die assembly design in an intelligent and efficient way has become a key issue of die design.To solve the problem above, this paper further analyzes the assembly design of die for auto body, namely study on KBE assembly technology, and the major content is as follows:The rule library of assembly knowledge is built up by generative rule according to the structure as well as the principle and the process of assembly design , which is dependent on assembly characteristics and linked with design traits of die assembly for auto body based on knowledge.Die parts which will be parametrically modeled are classified according to MISUMI and SANKYO standards widely used in die industry at present; moreover the characteristic library of die standard part for auto body is erected by Access 2000, and the parametric model library of die parts for auto body is estabilished by CATIA V5.The assembly relation of auto body based on knowledge is set up by selecting Visual Basic 6.0 as the development language, combined with the secondary development technology in CATIA V5. The reasoning machine based on RBR and CBR is designed with KBE theory.The interface of intelligent assembly system is designed by adopting Visual Basic and CATIA V5, and the search mechanism of the system is built to carry out characteristic search in part model library, characteristic parameter library and assembly relation library so that the intelligent assembly of die for auto body is fulfilled. |
