Since the90’s of last century, the stage of compulsory education schools teaching equipment procurement and management has entered a stage of rapid development. Our country released the first educational equipment directory for primary and middle schools in1996. After it was updated twice in2000and2006, regional education comprehensive assessment also corresponding adopted the national standard or province standard to measure a school hardware level, which would directly reflect a regional investment in education and the development of the situation. Since entering the twenty-first Century, with the increase of school equipments and continuous reforms throughout the curriculum standard version of the directory, national standard and province standard of teaching equipments cover a total of3000kinds of materials in physics, chemistry, biology, politics, history and other subjects. As the administrative department of education, on the one hand, ensuring the schools in the region to have full installed instruments to carry out corresponding experiments required to the various standards and managing the good of such a huge educational equipment assets within the region have become not only an important issue facing the equipment management department, but also the core of work for the administrative department; on the other hand, due to the difference of local financial system and management system, at present there is no a ready-made system can fully meet the needs of management of educational equipment in a particular area, so this paper is based on this purpose, equipment management platform for educational research and development of B/S architecture.The topic of this paper is "the research and development of educational equipment management platform area", and its target is in order to research and develop a set of educational equipments and management platform suitable for rapid rural cities to use practically and conveniently to the whole regional subordinate education equipment units for unified management. At the same time, it makes use of modern information means to meet the development trend of non paper office and improves the management efficiency. With the wide popularity of the Internet, the use of regional management platform can make the mobility of data information strengthened, employees can easily grasp and manage all the datum anytime and anywhere, which results in solving many practical problems in traditional working modes of complex datum, not promptly reporting, chaotic management, personnel changes and so on.This system is using Zend Studio development tools and MySQL as a data storage management system, with Apache, Zend composed a good development environment, along with a variety of mature open sources and tools, database design and development of this system. For this system takes into account the actual users’ environmental differences, it uses various components and controls as little as possible and combines with the practical business needs. This paper gives designing details on the initial demand analysis and database structure design. According to the design idea of software engineering, the system adopts the use of the whole life cycle of method development, including system requirements analysis, system overall design, system detailed design etc.. This system operation is simple and clear, which is for the people with a certain computer knowledge can conveniently use the platform.
