With the rapid development of port logistics industry in China, building "smartport" gradually becomes a new direction for the development of port informationplatform. This paper is look at Port how to design and develop a port bulk cargosystem with dotNet platform,which is short for “Wharf project of Port Works”.In order to achieve port bulk cargo system, ASP.NET and SQL Server2008database technology takes in place and also we combines paging technology, theExcel data import technology, membership management program and so on, to builda powerful port bulk cargo system.In this paper, aiming at the needs for the Port bulk cargo system, we elaboratein detail vs. the functional requirements. First of all, the paper inquires into therequirements of the present management of Port bulk cargo system and theproblems solving system. Then, in order to get the explicit requirements, lots ofresearch and investigation is carried out. To be continued, this paper explains thedesign of system modules, database tables and system architecture. Secondly, thepaper is proved the main function of the system by using case diagram and modulediagram. Moreover, it depicts the tables and relationship in database by ER model,which is the foundation for the physical implementation of database. Inaddition, Data Structures for the Port bulk cargo system is given. And theimplementation of key functions is showed. Like Basic Data fuzzy combined queries,importation of cargo inventory data, scheduling and management, the print of jobticket, unloading Tally management, loading Tally management, the library fieldmargins query, throughput statistics, user management functions based onmembership management program and et al. In the end of research, it is introducedthe systems analysis, design and implementation of the development process ordering by the development of subsystems. Some subsystem functions and someinterface screenshots are displayed. At the same time the key technologies and thekey system functions source codes are introduced and showed.The result shows that the platform described in this thesis has characteristics ofmaintainability, reusability and scalability. Simultaneously, it does meet the needs ofPort bulk cargo system.
