As an important part in the logistic chain, the port is both a station and a buffer for cargo transport. In China, the main functions of the ports have been transferred from pure cargo handling to integrated logistics as more and more frequent international trade.So the port is growing bigger, the volume of business at the port is increasing larger and the functions is becoming more complex, which will produce large number of data. The data is so large that many problems occurred when the governors try to handle it scientifically: the data may be not accurate or not urgent and it will be inconvenient for searching; the analysis of marketing for the decision-maker is not uncertain, which is easy to cause a major impact on the development of new customers and new business and the improvement of the competition in marketing.In this thesis, a completed management of information system(MIS) will be established according to the demand and the characteristic of producing and the management, the development of Taizhou port and demand of the related companies.This MIS system will not only create a proper system module from the group to the port but also a comprehensive management platform. MIS system can make the data unified and integrated, the management in operation process could be achieved. With the help of this system, we can achieved the expected goal for information management.On the basis of system analysis, combined with the related theory of database and the situation of Taizhou port management group, overall design and analysis based on the DB. B/S technology was conducted. Microsoft VS2008, Sqlserver2005, and asp.net MVC are also used to develop the Taizhou port bulk cargo management system.Developing such a set of information management system will help to improve the management and the efficiency of safety production, reduce the waste of labor cost in the actual work and the inaccuracy in time-controlling. Also, information can be shared in time and management become more efficient in such a system.
